Rejoice in the Lord in the Bad

Habakkuk

The Troubles are due to sin, as described in Habakkuk. We are promised to face trouble on Earth. Habakkuk starts by complaining and questioning God. In Chapter 2, he goes to his Tower to observe God's actions. Chapter 3 sees Habakkuk asking for renewal in God's work and ultimately ending with joy in the Lord despite difficulties. Rejoicing in good times is easy, but hard in bad times. Healthy fear of God leads to repentance, rejoicing, and trust, encouraging closeness to God. Regardless of circumstances, rejoice in God Almighty.
